Where does Calumet Farm Bourbon come from?
Western Spirits Beverage Company produces Calumet Farm Bourbon and it is bottled by Three Springs Bottling Company. Both are in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Please visit The Pedigree to learn more.
A few years before 2010, Western Spirits Beverage Company purchased a large reserve of Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. This young stockpile was crafted by a prominent distillery in Kentucky using a traditional “high rye” mash bill consisting of 74% corn, 18% rye, and 8% malted barley. For over a decade, this bourbon, still in its original barrels, has been cared for and looked after by the team at Western Spirits Beverage Company, a NDP. The team at Western Spirits hand-selects many of the barrels for the premium offerings of the Calumet Farm Bourbon brand through an internal review and sampling process. Once the sought-after flavor profile is captured, other barrels are sampled and dropped to match (and build upon) the origin profile for a certain expression.
This unique NDP situation allows for consumers to be a part of the aging process in a way that is not common in the spirits industry. Since Calumet Farm bourbons have always used the same mash bill throughout the years thus far, consumers are able to “taste” our aging process in a direct manner, all under one brand.
Does Bardstown Bourbon Company make Calumet Farm Bourbon?
No.
In 2017 Western Spirits Beverage Company signed on to become part of the Collaborative Distilling Program Partnership. It is an on-going, long-term distilling contract. The Program is headed by Hall-of-Fame Master Distiller – Steve Nally. He assists with Western Spirits proprietary distillate and brand launches.
